So, Famewatchers, here’s an update on our favorite guy in Spandex aka The Olympic Rower With the Most Intriguing Awarding Ceremony Photo Ever aka Henrik Rummel. First of all, we begin with the good news: our rowing hunk qualified for the Rio Olympics. Yay!

MMA Underwear: Your Favorite Fighters’ Favorite Brands

MMA Underwear: Your Favorite MMA Fighters’ Favorite Brands. Do mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters wear underwear under their fight shorts? Is there a special kind of underwear specifically designed for MMA practitioners or will any underwear do? And, finally, what kind of underwear does your favorite MMA fighter wear outside the octagon?

The answer to the above questions according to our friend Michael who is an avid MMA fan: 1) Yes the fighters wear underwear during their fights, 2) compression underwear or these workout underwear is the best, and 3) depends on who your favorite MMA fighter is.

We did a little digging to find out the MMA underwear that your favorite fighter loves and the following list is what we came up with. We’re assuming here that these are their favorite brand because why else would they be wearing them during their weigh-ins.

Billy Joe Saunders Sunspel: Hot British Boxer is Also an Underwear Model

Billy Joe Saunders is a World Boxing Champion. Nearly ten years after we first wrote about Billy Joe, he’s gone on to become a world boxing champion multiple times.

First, he won the WBO middleweight title in 2015 and retained it three more times. He then went on to win the WB0 supermiddleweight title in May 2019 and successfully defended his title six months later in November 2019.

Props to the guy for pursuing his dreams, being successful at it, and bringing glory to the British Traveller community. To date, he’s got an unblemished boxing record of 29 wins and zero losses, 14 of said wins are by knockouts.

BMX Riders Underwear: Raymon van der Biezen. Do BMX riders wear a special kind of underwear when they are racing? You know, like Formula One drivers whose underwear use — see F1 Drivers Underwear — is so highly regulated to the point that those who don’t follow the rules are given heavy fines?

Nah. From what we gathered, BMX competitions don’t have any rules about underwear and they don’t have any special underpants like, say, the Formula One’s fire retardant underwear. But BMX rider do wear specially designed pants to protect their nether regions.

All that riding downhill to uphill to downhill again must be torturous to a rider’s “downstairs area” so they wear protective pants that are padded in the knees, hips, shin, as well as the seat and crotch area.

Denis Goossens Update. How’s our Belgian crush from ten years ago doing now? Apparently, he is now a married man. He retired from athletics in 2012 and tied the knot four years later with Belgian Olympic gymnast Aagje Vanwalleghem in 2016. The two are now the proud parents of two girls.
