You see, our David is starring as Bernardo, aka the leader of the Latino gang, in the movie which currently boasts a 97% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Almost everyone is raving about it so you, and yours truly of course, should go check it out when it opens on 10 December.

Seriously, not a lot of actors known for doing teen roles are able to go on and establish an image as a serious actor; Diego Boneta is one of those who are talented and lucky enough to pull it off. For those of you wondering what the Latino hottie is doing these days, he is playing the titular character in the Telemundo/Netflix series Luis Miguel which most certainly found an audience because it aired for three seasons.

That guy is Polo Morin who plays the young José María Lazcano on the show. The mystery telenovela is such a hit for Netflix so it is getting a third season which your Famewatchers are sooo looking forward too. No, seriously, this is our second favorite Netflix Spanish languange show after The House of Flowers.

Anyhoo, for those of you who are not familiar with our curly-haired hunk, Polo is from Guanajuato, Mexico who’s been in the acting biz for ten years now. He began his acting career in 2010 when he appeared in two episodes of La Rosa De Guadalupe and, to date, he’s appeared in 16 movies and TV shows including Who Killed Sara.

Gian Franco Rodriguez Shirtless, Leather Pants, Girlfriend. Anyone of you watched Halston on Netflix and came out admiring newcomer Gian Franco Rodriguez? His performance made us interested in the character he’s playing such that we spent an afternoon reading all about Victor Hugo. Oh, not Victor Hugo of Les Miserables fame but Victor Hugo the lover of American designer Halston (full name: Roy Halston Frowick) who was played on the show by Ewan McGregor.

McGregor was, as usual, a tour-de-force (and he deserved the Emmy Award trophy he received for the role) but we were most impressed by Gian Franco mainly because he is actually relatively new in the acting biz. In fact, Halston is his first mainstream acting project. His other acting gigs are mostly short movies that are labors of love for the people involved which are, unfortunately, not seen by a wider audience.
