It really is here to stay. But not only is it staying, it has also managed to cross over to the mainstream in men’s fashion with companies such as Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour producing and selling them. Male Celebrity Singlets and Unitards: Actors, Athletes, Models. Look who’s wearing a wrestling singlet? It’s Irish male model Colin Farrell. Male model? Isn’t he a multi-awarded actor? He is now but he apparently started his showbiz career as a unitard-wearing runway model. His model pose above is not bad, huh?

He revealed in this video clip from the Tonight Show with Jay Leno that he did this when he was 17 years old and was paid $20 for his efforts.

Did you know that male pantyhose is a thing? It’s one of the more recent developments in men’s fashion but it’s a mistake to think that only male fashionistas are into wearing men’s pantyhose (or mantyhose). In fact, aside from fashion, mantyhose is used for any of the following reasons: athletic support, insulation during cold winter months, medical reasons (ex: as compression legwear for knee problems), dancing (if you happen to be one of Madonna’s backup dancers as in the pic above), and your good ol’ sexy reasons.

Underwear as Outerwear: Men and Women Fashion Trends. If there’s such a thing as underwear-as-outerwear, shouldn’t we also have a fashion thing called sleepwear-as-outerwear? It may not be popular to the self-appointed fashion police like Wolfgang Joop, but it would be awesome for fans of men in long johns underwear and women in pajamas.
