Arthur Fils Shirtless, Girlfriend, Titles, Sponsors. Do you miss the days cheering for French tennis players in Grand Slam events? We kinda do. It must have been 10 to 15 years ago when we had the likes of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Richard Gasquet, Gael Monfils, and Gilles Simon going deep in tournaments. They’d usually feature in tough five setters which they will win but will heartbreakingly lose in the next round because they did not have enough time to recover. They were tough, these four French boys. Unfortunately, their careers coincided with the time of the THREE GOATS (Djokovic, Nadal, and Federer) who won practically all the Slams leaving nothing for our French foursome.
Anyhoo, there’s a new generation of French tennis players and one of them is Arthur Fils who just turned 20 this year. We are keeping our fingers crossed that he’ll be as successful as Tsonga and Co. and, maybe, even surpass them in the Grand Slams. His best showing, at this point, is making it to the 4th round in Wimbledon last month.
