Novak Djokovic Hublot Watch Ambassador. Apparently, tennis great Novak Djokovic is no longer with Seiko Watch. He inked a deal to be the brand ambassador for the Swiss timepiece brand Hublot.

Here’s what the brand wrote (via hublot.com), when it announced its partnership with arguably the greatest tennis player of all time: “Already a living legend, but still at the top of his game, Novak Djokovic has decided to join the great family of Hublot ambassadors. He shares many similarities with the Swiss watchmaking company Hublot, not the least of which is the relentless pursuit of excellence and performance. This is a great source of pride for the Hublot teams, who welcome the man who proves himself day after day as the greatest tennis player of all time. Game, set and match for Nole and Hublot!”

That is, if you believe internet reports that he is dating a girl named Caroline Donzella who was at his box when he was playing in Wimbledon last June. That’s her at the middle in the next photo below. He has already established himself as a contender in doubles — he and fellow Aussie doubles partner Matthew Ebden reached the Australian Open finals last year and they went on to win the Wimbledon Championships trophy the same year — but he’s still in a quest to bring home an ATP singles trophy.

However, he’s done pretty good this year as he made it to the quarterfinals of the Cincinatti Open while beating more established names along the way. Specifically, he beat current world #5 Casper Ruud in the second round and went on to outscore multiple Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka in the next round. He eventually succumbled to current world #1 Carlos Alcaraz but he took the fight to three sets.

We are updating this post, which we wrote back in 2015, to note that our imaginary Aussie beau Joel Edgerton has gotten recognition for his directorial efforts. Specifically, he was nominated for his 2015 movie The Gift by the Directors Guild of America Awards for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in First-Time Feature Film. His second film, the 2018 movie Boy Erased, also earned him a directing nomination but this time he was recognized nommed at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards (AACTA).

Now, he may not have won his nominations but there is no doubt that Joel is a solid film maker. Proof of this is the fact that the movies he directed are well-reviewed by critics. The Gift has an impressive fresh rating of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes while Boy Erased has an 80% fresh rating.

On other fronts, he’s won 23 awards as an actor and a screenwriter. Some of his wins come from AACTA, Film Critics Circle of Australia Awards, the Hollywood Film Awards, and the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
