Canadian Men in Speedo: Olympic Male Swimmers and Divers. You want more Canadian Olympic hunks, don’t you? Well, let’s update our earlier post on diver Arturo Miranda by bringing you more of his Olympic teammates particularly those in swimming and diving. Let’s begin with cute baldie hunk Brent Hayden (that’s him in the picture above) who, in the words of wikipedia, “became the first Canadian in 21 years to win a gold medal in the world championships”. Brent achieved said feat when he bagged the gold at the 2007 World Aquatics Championships.

Here’s another photo of Brent with two other swimmers. Thank heavens he opted to go completely bald. Them swimsuit these guys are wearing are pretty horrendous though. Whoever designed them should get the can. Haha. Want more hot male swimmers?

German Divers in Adidas Swimsuits. This is for those of you Famewatchers who told us that you miss our posts featuring photos of men in Speedo swimwear. Who are these guys, you ask? Well, these Adidas-swimwear-wearing dudes are members of the German diving team.

The one on the left is Sascha Klein, silver medalist in the Beijing Olympic Games in the synchronized 10 meter platform event (he won with teammate Patrick Hausding). The others are Norman Becker and Pavlo Rozenberg, they were also members of the German diving team who competed in the Beijing Games.

How do they stand in comparison to their gymnastic bros?

Are male divers shorter or taller on average than male gymnasts? Who is the most recent tallest (or shortest) man to ever win an Olympic diving medal? To answer these questions we are going to take a look at the divers who won the gold, silver, and medal in the Olympic Games from the year 2000 onwards.

Cliff Diving Hunks: 15 Daredevils in Swimsuits. Can you think of a sport that is more daring or more badass than cliff diving? We can’t think of any. The first time we saw a cliff diving competition on TV we were like, “OMG! Are those guys really going to dive from that scary cliff? No way they’re gonna do that!” But they did.

We got hooked and became fans of the divers and the sport (although we can’t keep being scared for the guys every time we see them twisting and turning and hurtling down a 90-foot cliff).

Best Platform Divers in the World (Men): FINA Ranking

Here’s Part II of our series focusing on male divers who are currently at the top of the diving world. If you missed Part I which focused on 3-meter springboard divers, go check it out here: Best Male Divers in the World.

This post focuses on the ten best platform divers in 2014 as ranked by the Fédération Internationale de Natation (FINA) or the International Swimming Federation. We think the ranking should cover a longer period (rather than just the past 12 months) and that it should include more results from more events (rather than the best three results), but that’s us.

Anyhoo, let’s check out the Top Ten Divers in the world with China’s 1) Yang Jian at the head of the pack. His most notable achievement to date: winning the gold medal in the 10m platform event at the 2014 FINA Diving World Cup.
