Here’s a tip for those of you guys who are finding it hard to get a date with the Chinese girl you’ve got a crush on: be metrosexual and ditch the muscles. This is according to a study so if this approach does not work for you, don’t blame us. Rather, blame the researchers who made the study.

Attributes of the male sex that are valued in current China, according to editors of two men’s magazines, include sophistication and exquisiteness.

Peng Yang, editor at the Chinese edition of GQ, reveals that metrosexuality is the winning theme across all social strata and generations. “Whether in high fashion or in grassroots trends, the standards of male beauty incorporate more and more decorative elements. In the most popular magazines in China, beautiful men are frequently the protagonists in special features. China’s television contest shows, such as My Hero and Superboys, invariably select men with boyish charm.”

Tom Felton and Girlfriend Jade Olivia. Are you like, “Who is the girlfriend of Tom Felton, you know, the Harry Potter bad guy with the blond hair?” Well, we’ve got the answer for you….. the girlfriend of Tom is ….. Jade Olivia. Yup, she’s the one in the picture with Tom. The couple, with Daniel Radcliffe, recently visited Harry Potter stuntman David Holmes who is still in the hospital.

UPDATE: 15 May 2011. Eat your hearts out, Jade Olivia-haters, it seems like these two are a strong couple. In fact they are reportedly getting married. Well, they’re not getting married in real life but they are getting married in the Harry Potter Universe. Thing is, Jade was cast as the wife of Draco Malfoy, Astoria Greengrass. You should see her in the big screen in Part II of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Here’s what Tom says about his girlfriend’s casting: “The producers actually came to me about six months ago and asked me, and I was like, OK, I’ll ask her. Salma Hayek Francois-Henri Pinault Got Married! Congratulations to Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault on their wedding. According to a Daily Mail report, Selma and Francois got married in the City Hall of the Sixth Arrondiseement, which is owned by the groom’s family, in the St. Germain area of Paris. The wedding was held last 14 February, Valentines Day, which clearly has a special significance for the couple. Their 17-month-old daughter is named Valentina.

The Daily Mail reports on the Salma-Francois wedding: “News of their marriage comes as a surprise after they publicly announced the end of their engagement last July. The couple blamed the long-distance between them – Salma spends most of the year in Los Angeles because of her acting career, while Francois-Henri is based in Paris. The couple met in Venice in May 2006, and after a low-key courtship, announced they were getting married and having a child together the following year.”
We love us our Salma Hayek, partly because she breastfed a hungry baby not her own, and we love the people she loves and who loves her in return. Which means that we also love us our Francois-Henri Pinault. Salma, by the way is 42 years old while her billionaire husband is 46.
