Claybourne Elder Shirtless, Gilded Age Hunk, Gay IRL?. Look who’s rocking his military uniform while also showing off his hairy chest? It’s American actor Claybourne Elder on the pages of Metro Weekly Magazine. The magazine placed him on its cover when he was playing the role of an Italian army captain for the 2018 play, Passions.

Currently, our 40-year-old zaddy is starring as John Adams on the HBO hit series, The Gilded Age. We still have to watch the show but, according to wiki, John Adams is the secret gay lover of one of the main characters, Oscar van Rhijn, who is played by Blake Ritson.

In real life, Claybourne is also a member of the LGBT community and is currently married to director and playwright Eric Rosen. The two tied the knot back in 2012 and are now the proud parents of a boy. Here’s a photo of the couple:

In an interview with broadway.com nearly ten years ago in 2012, Claybourne tells us about their dating life before they tied the knot: “’We were dating for about a year when we decided to adopt a dog,’ Elder, who appeared on Broadway last season in Bonnie & Clyde, tells Broadway.com. ‘When we got [Diogi], Eric got really nervous that the dog wasn’t going to like him. I thought it was the sweetest thing I ever saw in my life. I fell completely head over heels for him at that moment and knew I wanted to start a family with him.'”

On their wedding: “With Diogi and a bevy of Broadway friends in attendance, Elder married Rosen on July 28, 2012 at Miriam’s Well, a ‘hippie’ retreat center in Saugerties, New York run by Rosen’s mother Susan Rosen. ‘It was awesome,’ Elder says. ‘Then we threw a big party in Utah for my friends and family. It was so meaningful to have people from all walks of my past come and celebrate my life.'”
