In 2017, Michael Evans Behling played a no-name bit role on the show Empire where his character was simply tagged as the Handsome Dude. Two years later, the up-and-coming hunky actor is one of the leads of The CW drama, All-American, a TV series about high school football stars which is beloved by critics (it’s currently sitting at 95% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes). It’s also a ratings winner for The CW which is why the show has already been renewed for a third season.

Michael is playing the role of Jordan Baker and, in an interview with euphoriazine.com, he tells us how he identifies with the character:

I relate to Jordan in season one the most actually. Season one he was struggling to find his identity and to fit in as a biracial teen. At age fourteen, I did begin to struggle with identity and finding my place. Jordan and I both started to notice the differences in our life and that things aren’t always cut and dry. Luckily, I think we’ve both come to terms with it and embrace it.

Oh, those of you who are not yet watching the show who, like our friend Deena, are fans of shirtless hunks will be happy to note that we see a lot of shirtless Michael on the series. He tells bossip.com how he looks so good in said shirtless scenes:

We are lucky enough to have a trainer. One of the guys on the show is our trainer, we met the first season. His name is Scott Benzing, so we have a hashtag #bodybyscott. We’re generally in the Warner weight room before work, during lunch if we can squeeze it in, or after work — Monday through Friday. It’s cardio, weightlifting — just to keep up to appear to be high school athletes who are competing for Division 1 scholarships.
