Aside from The Half of It, another Netflix show we are highly anticipating here on Famewatcher is the Mindy Kaling TV series, Never Have I Ever, which is noteworthy for having a lead character that is of Indian descent. Major props to Mindy for continuing her trailblazing ways and for casting an acting newbie, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, to play the lead role. Yay.

Now, since we are all about guys, guys, guys here on Famewatcher, we are setting our eyes on the stars of the show who have the potential to break out and become a bigger star than they currently are. If we are going to make a bet on who would break out, we are gonna put it on Darren Barnet and our basis would be the following scene alone:

Why would the above elevate Darren’s road to stardom? First, because the very fast speed by which he removes his shirt is kinda fun. And, second, because of the sculpted body he’s hiding in them thar shirt. Fun and hotness, that’s the kind of combo that gets people on social media talking.

Darren Barnet Gay or Straight? Girlfriend? He is straight. However, we do not know whether he has a girlfriend or not at the moment. However, he dated E! News producer Cassie Maynard but, based on their social media posts, it looks like they have called it quits. Anyhoo, here’s a photo of the two when they were still together.

Onscreen, Darren will be the love interest of the show’s lead character, Devi, who as we mentioned above is going to be played by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan.

Darren Barnet Ethnic Background and Parents. Diversity MBA Magazine describes him as a “Japanese American actor” so we’d say he is part-Japanese. Considering the name, Paxton Hall Yoshida, he is also gonna play a part-Japanese guy on the Netflix show.
