Paul Mescal Gay or Girlfriend? He is straight. We do not know whether he’s got a girlfriend at the moment but he’s had an awkward date and, in another instance, fallen in love at first sight. From independent.ie on his awkward date: “We were walking along some lovely canal in Amsterdam and it should have been very romantic but it wasn’t. There was a lot of silence. The only way out for me, in my head, was to fake a phone call and pretend that my friend was in hospital. I got off the phone – I thought I had given my greatest performance – and said, ‘Oh my friend is in hospital, I have to go’…It was so bad. I’m a bad person.”

Awww. We kinda feel sorry for the girl but we do not blame Paul at all. If he’s not feeling it then the best thing to do is to call it quits gracefully which he does (with a white lie).

And here’s what he says about falling in love at first sight (via independent.ie): “We were sitting in a pub after a show and she was sitting with her back to me with her legs crossed. It was proper raining in Dublin and we went to another pub and we ended up kissing in the rain in the street. That was pretty good.”
