You should check out the show if you are into romantic comedies. It’s getting pretty good reviews on IMDB and our niece Sheila is lovin’ it. Apparently, the show is based on a book and, in an interview with eseuro.com, Alvaro had this to say about playing a character already pictured in the minds of book readers:

It is intimidating because playing a role that people have already imagined in their heads and that may be different from you puts a bit of pressure on you. Although what could give me the most insecurity was that there wasn’t the chemistry that exists in the book between the two characters, and I think that it is.

Alvaro Mel Awards and Nominations. Our young actor still has to bring home an award but he’s already earned two acting nominations which is quite an accomplishment considering that he is fairly new in the acting biz. He started acting only five years ago (2018) which is why his IMDB credit isn’t very long having starred in only five TV shows and an upcoming movie scheduled for release this year.

Anyhoo, Alvaro’s two nominations — one from the Iris Awards and another from the Jose Maria Forque Awards — came from his role as the lead character in the TV series La Fortuna.
