Morris Chestnut Awards. To date, the actor has won two NAACP acting awards (one for Nurse Jackie and the other for The Best Man: The Final Chapters) out of the five times he’s been nominated with the award-giving body. He also received an acting trophy from the Acapulco Black Film Festival for his role in The Best Man Holiday.

Morris Chestnut Gay or Straight?. He is straight and is very much married. He and wifey Pam Byse tied the knot in 1997 and they’ve been together since.

In a recent interview with CBS Mornings, he tells us what make their marriage work: “We have an ultimate respect for each other. You’re with someone for a long time, you kind of take them for granted. You can get very angry and get very nasty during fights. It happens, right? But … we just don’t hit below the belt. We never say anything that we can’t take back. And we’ve just been very blessed to grow together.”
