Says Kidan of her victory as well as her prior modeling experience: “I love to model, however it is a pity that the modeling industry is not professional or well established back home, so aspiring models like my self cannot make a living out of want we like to do. From here on I guess the sky is the limit for me, I have gained the professional acceptance I always knew I should have, and I am indeed grateful to the Almighty Lord for guiding me and making my dreams come true.”

Aside from being a model, Kidan is also a beauty queen who represented her country in the Miss International and Miss Earth competitions.
