Real Navy Diver Paul de Gelder is The Navy Diver Male Model

We’ve been blogging about male underwear models for sometime now and we must say that this is the first time we were amazed and inspired by one of them. You can’t read about the story of Paul de Gelder and not be inspired by him. The guy is an effin shark attack survivor. Now, he is modeling The Navy Diver underwear!
More about Paul’s shark attack story in this February 2009 report by the Sydney Morning Herald: “A navy diver fought off a shark as it attacked him during an anti-terrorism training exercise in Sydney Harbour, the navy says. Able Seaman Paul Degelder, 31, of the clearance diving team based at HMAS Penguin at Balmoral, is in a serious but stable condition following the attack at Woolloomooloo Bay, in Sydney’s inner east, just before 7am today.”
Paul lost his right hand and his lower right leg but he survived. A year later, he was back in the water he loves so much. He says no shark will stop him from swimming again.
From SMH: “‘I love being in the water. I wasn’t going to let the shark attack keep me out of the water,’ said Mr de Gelder, who recently returned from New York where he and other shark attack victims lobbied the United Nations to curtail fishing practices that threaten sharks with extinction.”
