It’s our first time hearing about it and our newfound awareness for the sport is all because of the gorgeous German actor Robert Maaser who starred in the recent Netflix movie Blood and Gold. You should check it out! Unlike most Netflix releases which tend to have middling reviews, this one is pretty, pretty, pretty good with a fresh rating of 85%.

Apparently, he also starred with Tom Cruise in the 2015 movie Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation where he played the role of an officer assassin. Here’s our Robert standing tall beside Scientologist Tommy.

Given his good looks and high cheek bones, we are not surprised that Robert did some modeling before he ventured to join the acting world. He has modeled for ad campaigns for brands like Adidas, Samsung, High5, Hyundai, McFit, and Sloggi which, if we are not mistaken is an underwear brand.

Oh wait, we almost forgot to tell you more about our Robert as a champion wheel gymnast. According to his IMDB page, the actor “still is the most successful competitor in the history of wheel gymnastics with 14 world champion titles, 2 world cup wins and more than 50 national titles as well as the title as the youngest ever world champion at age 14”.

Looks like an interesting sport, no? They should have a wheel gymnastics event in the Olympics because it is more of a sport than trampoline jumping which, if we are not mistaken, was included in the London Games.
