He plays a middle-aged gay man who is a father of a teenage girl who is about to leave home. The role earned our daddy acting trophies from the Málaga Spanish Film Festival as well as the OUTshine Film Festival.

Mind you, this isn’t actually the only time that our Leonardo plays an LGBT character. He plays another one in the 2000 movie Burnt Money (Plata Quemada) and, boy, does he sizzle in these pics with co-star Eduardo Noriega.

Aside from the film festival awards mentioned above, Leonardo’s acting awards include trophies from the Argentina Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences (which, if we are not mistaken is equivalent to the Oscars), the Argentinean Film Critics Association Awards, the Spanish Actors Union, the Gramado Film Festival, Huelva Latin American Film Festival, the Miami Film Festival, and the Goya Award — his very first which he received in 2002.

Leonardo Sbaraglia Gay or Straight? Girlfriend or Boyfriend? He is straight and has been in a long term relationship with Argentinean director Guadalupe Marin. However, we are not sure if they are still together because a Spanish-language website, a24.com, kinda stated in a 2017 article that the two have parted ways after 16 years of being together. It’s possible that the translation is not accurate so we are not reporting their separation as fact.
