Blu Hydrangea Boyfriend, Real Name, Boy Look: Joshua Cargill. Who among you fellow Famewatchers are stanning Blu Hydrangea on Rupaul’s Drag Race UK? We must say that of the contestants in the show’s first season, this Northern Irish queen is the one who surprised us the most. She has the most innovative looks on the runway and, during the Snatch Game episode, she has proven that she can make us laugh too. We hope she continues to pleasantly surprise us in the upcoming episodes.

Now, for those of you who are asking about what his name outside of drag, his official government name according to the Belfast Telegraph is Joshua Cargill. Meantime, the Rupaul’s Drag Race Wiki says her non-drag name is Jesus Joshua Cargill. Here’s Blu rocking his boy look as Joshua Cargill:

Is she the most androgynous RPDR contestant ever? We think she is. Our friend Deena points out though that Blair St. Clair of season 10 easily pulls off the androgynous look too. Blu and Blair are up there in the “I Can Rock the Andrej Pejic Androgynous Look Department”.

Now, if you watched the Snatched Game episode, one of the highlights of the show is Blu’s disclosure to her fellow contestants that Northern Ireland is behind the rest of the UK when it comes to LGBT rights. Specifically, she highlighted the fact that their government does not recognize gay marriage and so, unlike the other queens, she won’t be able to marry his boyfriend.

Well, that may be true during the shooting of RPDR-UK but things changed dramatically last week when the law changed in the province which allowed gay marriages to become legal. Yay! Does this mean we will be hearing wedding bells soon for the Rupaul star and his boyfriend? We sure hope so.
