Oh, so you want more Swiss long johns underwear, don’t you? Okay check out these thermals from an undies brand called Zimmerli of Switzerland. This one’s from the label’s collection as seen at the Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2010.

Don’t you just love how the outfit hugs the model’s skin? Here’s one of the brand’s print ads for its long john thermals. This particular Zimmerli long johns underwear is made of 70% virgin wool and 30% silk.

If you are wondering how to take care of fabrics that are made of wool and silk, here are some tips from the good people of Zimmerli of Stitzerland:

  • For these extremely fine pieces we recommend washing by hand. Machine wash with fine wash programme at low temperature is also acceptable.
  • Do not rub!
  • Please use mild detergents and under no circumstance overdose as this could cause colour bleeding.
  • Because of its delicateness do not tumble dry.
  • Carefully iron from the left.

So there, now you know how you should wash your wool + silk combo. Now, can someone explain to us why it’s suggested that you should iron from the left? We get the other suggestions but we’re kinda baffled by this one.
