Ramón Rodríguez Shirtless, Young, Girlfriend. Look who’s the lead star in a network television show? It’s actor Ramón Rodríguez who is playing the lead character in the new ABC series Will Trent which just premiered last January 3. It’s gotten really good reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that it will find an audience so that network executives will renew it for several seasons.

Ramon Rodriguez Awards. Our Ramon ain’t just a talented actor but is gifted behind the camera as well. In fact, in 2019, he received the NY Perspectives Award of Excellence from the Winter Film Awards for directing the short film The Language of The Ball about a teenager who’s forced out of his comfort zone.
Ramon Rodriguez Gay or Straight? He played the gay gangster Renaldo in The Wire but he is straight in real life. During an Ask Me Anything Q&A on Reddit eight years ago, he was asked about playing a gay gangster:
How did it feel to be cast in such a prolific show like The Wire, but be cast as a gay gangster? “Honored. Had no idea in the beginning how special the show was since I didn’t see it before I got cast on the show. Then went back to watch the series and couldn’t believe how brilliant it was. Have never read scripts that good since…I saved all of them.”
Ramon Rodriguez Girlfriend? We do not know if he is seeing anyone at the moment but, more than a decade ago, he was rumored to be in a relationship with actress Minka Kelly who was her co-star in the 2011 reboot of Charlie’s Angels.
People Magazine quotes a gossipy source who had this to say about the supposed relationship: “We have seen Minka and Ramon talking in his trailer way after hours, and often late into the night. They have been together long after they need to be for the show.”
But another source quashed the rumor saying that the two were just friendly: “They’re just friends. Ramon is basically the only guy on set so of course they all hang out with him.”
