Shirtless NRL Rugby Players in Speedos. If you are like our friend Deena, you’d be intrigued why a lot of rugby players are often photographed wearing Speedo trunks. Why indeed? They’re not swimmers, or divers, or underwater hockey players (yup there’s such a thing as underwater hockey) so why do these rugby hunks love them their Speedos so much? The only reason we can think of is that skimpy briefs-style Speedo suits are the best thing to wear during their water-based training. Or maybe they just really really love them their female and gay fans. Hehe.
Anyhoo, let’s check out some rugby hunks in the National Rugby League (NRL) in their Speedo trunks, shall we? Let’s start with Famewatcher favorite Cooper Cronk, the sexy hot halfback of the Melbourne Storm. You can see more of The Coops in an earlier post we wrote about him: Cooper Cronk in Speedo.
Second in our group of Speedo-wearing NRL athletes is our imaginary rugby boyfriend Matt Ballin. Matt is currently with the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles where he is the hooker. [Note: The hooker position “roughly equates to a short Lineman or stocky fullback” according to BL King of Yahoo Sports.]
Here’s another Speedo pic of Matt Ballin.
Next up is Matt Cooper who appears to be enjoying the sea by his lonesome. Matt currently plays centre for the St George Illawarra Dragons.
We can’t find a briefs-style Speedo photo for Michael Jennings, centre for the Sydney Roosters, so we have to settle with this pic of our rugby jock in his swim shorts. Hehe.
Members of the St. George Illawarra Dragons rugby league with Speedo-wearers Jason Nightingale and Jack De Belin.
Melbourne Storm rugby stars Cooper Cronk and Cameron Smith work out in their Speedo swimsuits. Awweeesssoooommmmeeee!
Twenty seven-year-old Adam Blair also trains in his Speedos. He currently plays for the Wests Tigers.
Let us continue blogging about NRL rugby players Speedo swimsuits with this pic of a happy Aidan Guerra. Our Aidan apparently favors boxers-style squarecut swimsuits. This Aussie-Italian hunk plays for the Sydney Roosters.
Beau Ryan, fullback/centre for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks does some underwear modeling on the side.
Who is this faceless guy in his Budgy Smuggler? Ben Barba shared it to his Facebook followers so we think its safe to assume that it is him. Ben plays halfback/fullback for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
Billy Slater aka Billy the Kid looks like he’s freezing in the water, no? This Adidas-swimsuit-wearing hunk plays fullback for the Melbourne Storm.
What is it with rugby players working out in their teeny-weeny swimsuits? Check out Blake Judd, who currently plays for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, doing some weight training.
Chris Lawrence, centre for the West Tigers, poses in white briefs for the popular rugby calendar, Gods of Football.
Corey Parker of the Brisbane Broncos shows us his backside.
Fuifui Moimoi, prop for the Parramatta Eels, wearing a pair of squarecut trunks.
Of course, an NRL Rugby Players Speedo list that does not include at least one of the Burgess brothers would be very incomplete. We bring you two of them, George and Sam Burgess who both currently play for the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Josh Dugan, fullback for the St. George Illawarra Dragons, and Sandor Earl, winger for the Canberra Raiders show of their tattoos and their underwear.
Speaking of underwear let’s check out Junio Sa’u, centre for the Melbourne Storm, in his Mummy’s Boy underwear.
Sandor’s Canberra Raiders teammate Tom Learoyd-Lahrs is looking cool in his Speedo.
Here’s a rugby threesome of Matt Cross, Ben Farrar, and Matt Ballin all from the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles posing in Aussiebum swimwear.
Trent Merrin, prop for the St. George Illawarra Dragons, and Mitchell Pearce, halfback for the Sydney Roosters go swimming together.
Wade McKinnon and Michael Luck of the New Zealand Warriors tackle each other while teammate Jerome Ropati appears to be going for a solo run.
Sam Burgess of the South Sydney Rabbitohs gives us two thumbs up. We’re guessing that means he approves of what we’re doing here at Famewatcher. Hehe. Who of these NRL rugby hunks is your favorite?
