Manish Dayal Shirtless, Underwear, Girlfriend. So, we were scrolling through TikTok and this clip of a TV show we haven’t heard of started playing. Ordinarily, when it comes to shows we are not familiar with, we’d just push it and watch the next video but this particular clip featured a really good looking guy with gorgeous eyes so we were mesmerized. We were like, “What show is this? Who is he? Why haven’t we seen him or heard of him before?”
Of course, because we’re admittedly just as thirsty as some of you Famewatchers, we were also like: “Hey, does he have shirtless and underwear photos in the internets that we can ‘appreciate’?”
Anyhoo, after some digging, we learned that the guy is named Manish Dayal and he is playing a doctor — Devon Pravesh — in the Fox medical drama The Resident. He is 40 years old, is from Orangeburg South Carolina (but has roots in India where his parents are originally from), and has been in the entertainment biz since 2006.
Manish Dayal Gay or Straight, Girlfriend or Boyfriend? He is straight and, since 2015, he’s been married to wife Snehal Patel. According to The Focus News, the two tied the knot during a traditional Indian wedding in Toronto. The couple have two children according to wikipedia. Here’s our lovely couple:
So how did Manish become an actor? He tells us in an interview with Bello Magazine: “I’m asking myself the same question. I was the kid who always believed in the most improbable scenario. It’s tough to fully understand my own journey because I think I’m still in the middle of it, but I can speak to how it started. I grew up in a small town in South Carolina. It was an unusual place to grow up, but I wouldn’t trade the experience for different one because it kept me hungry. Opportunities were limited there, and I ended up renting movies at Blockbuster Video every other day.”
He adds: “I wanted to learn more, and film pumped my imagination. I didn’t know how to break into this business though. There were some pivotal people early on, like my mother, who encouraged me to take film classes. I wanted to work behind the camera maybe as a director/producer, which I still want to do one day. While I was studying, I got an opportunity to be in front of the camera, and it was an awesome experience because even though I didn’t know what I was doing, I had fun, and I instinctually understood it. After that, I was hooked.”
