Luke Humphrey Shirtless, Underwear, Wife, Awards. Who’s this cutie posing in his black boxer briefs underwear while winking and pointing his gun-fingers at us? Well, you should already know him based on the title of this post but if you missed it, his name is Luke. He’s a Canuck. And he’s an actor who’s getting recognition for his role as John Bobbitt in the TV-movie I Was Lorena Bobbitt.
If you are of a certain age, you’d know about Lorena and John. If you are less than a certain age here’s the digest of their story: John and Lorena Bobbitt were a couple. One night, she can’t take the abuse anymore and so she got a kitchen knife and cut off her husband’s you know what and threw it in the trash. It was later re-attached. She was hailed to court for what she did where she was found not guilty by reason of temporary insanity. John went on to star in two adult films which proves that his thing is still working.
Luke Humphrey Awards and Recognition. Anyhoo, we are happy to note that Luke won the award for Best Lead Actor in a Television Film or Miniseries at the Canadian Screen Awards. The movie itself won the Best TV Movie award as well as best direction and best writing. Unfortunately, the award ceremony happened at the height of the COVID pandemic so we have no pic of Luke receiving his award before an audience of his peers and fans.
But we do have the above which he posted on Instagram (follow him @humphrey_luke) with the following message: “IT ARRIVED!!! I’m so grateful for this award and so proud of the work of everyone who made #iwaslorenabobbitt possible. It was a joy to work with such passionate and talented artists to share this story. Thank you to @thecdnacademy for this amazing honor. Now off to turn this into a necklace so I can wear it everywhere I go.”
That Luke is a talented actor is underscored by the fact that he received three more awards this year for the TV series Chateau Laurier: Best Acting Ensemble from the Robinson Film Awards, Best Lead Actor from the Best Shorts Awards, and Best Lead Actor from the Swedish International Film Festival. Oh he’s also won a medal for something sporty.
Luke Humphrey Gay or Straight? Girlfriend or Boyfriend? He is straight and is married to wife Chantelle. The couple are proud parents to a baby boy. Here’s the couple when they were expecting.
