Five years later, we are updating this post to note that Bonner did pretty well in Dancing With the Stars. He and partner Sharna Burgess placed fifth on the show which is a respectable finish. James Dean Shirtless Smoking Hot Cowboy. For some reason, whenever movie cowboys are mentioned, one actor that come to mind is James Dean. For the longest time, we always thought he played the role of a cowboy in one of his movies.
However, during a Zoom meeting where we casually described James Dean as a cowboy, our friend Deena — who knows her classic movies more than anyone we know — mentioned that the actor never actually played a cowboy. We’re not the only one in the group who was surprised by her claim so we went ahead and did some googling. We discovered that she is right and that, true enough, James Dean never was a movie cowboy.

By the way, did you know that he is a horse-ridin’ cowboy? Well, actually, we don’t know about him being a cowboy but we do know that he knows how to ride a horse which cannot be said for a lot of Hollywood celebrities. Or a lot of men for that matter.
Our hubby has a point though when he says, “Why are you judging men about their horse-riding abilities? There’s no need to learn how to ride a horse when you have a car sitting there in the garage.”

Whoever decided to cast two badass action stars – Daniel Craig aka James Bond and Harrison Ford aka Indiana Jones – in the movie Cowboys and Aliens deserves a lot of props from us here at Famewatcher. They also deserve props for giving these boys their awesome cowboy hats.
