Oh wait, he ain’t just a football star! He is a world-class track and field athlete too! So our Devon is kind of a unicorn like baseball star Shohei Ohtani.

However, one can argue that Devon is a rarer breed of unicorn because, after all, Shohei excels in the same sport, i.e., both as a baseball pitcher and as a slugger while Devon, for his part, excels not only in one sport but in two sports. Specifically, he is a wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL and he is a hurdler (specifically for the 110 meters) who represented the United States in the Olympics as well as the World Championships.

In an interview with the Takeoff With John Clark podcast: “The training is similar. Football has a lot more mental aspect, film study and knowing the playbook. I trained to be as explosive and strong as possible on the track which is what I have been doing with football… accelerating full speed, full speed.”

Devon Allen Gay or Straight? Girlfriend or Boyfriend? He is straight and, since 2019, he’s been in a relationship with girlfriend Morgan Mitchell who, apparently, is also a track-and-field star. According to olympics.com, she “competed for Australia at the Rio Olympics and Tokyo 2020 Games, finishing seventh in the 4x400m relay in Brazil and reaching the 400m semis at the same Games. More recently, she turned her attention to the longer 800m distance, finishing sixth in her heat at Tokyo 2020 in 2021.”
