Worlds Top Lesbian Heroines: One Poll List. There’s no stopping Angelina Jolie, no? Recently, the folks at Forbes Magazine ranked her as the world’s most powerful celebrity. Now, she’s also ranked as the world’s top lesbian heroine by a survey group called One Poll.

Very interesting list of Worlds Top Lesbian Heroines, no? By the way, calling these celebs “lesbian heroines” is a bit confusing and misleading because I am not sure at all if the people in the list are actual lesbians. Maybe the proper way to call them would be “celebrity heroines chosen by lesbian respondents”? Because what One Poll apparently did is ask lesbian respondents who their heroines are.
Seems like these respondents never heard of Rosie O’Donnell, or Hillary Clinton, or Condoleeza Rice. And Oprah. Where’s Oprah? We are fans of Angelina and the other girls but a list of Worlds Top Lesbian Heroines that does not include Oprah is kind of questionable.

Lucy Lawless in Spartacus: Blood and Sand (posted: 28 July 2009). Those of you who are complaining because Lucy Lawless did not make it to the list of Words Top Lesbian Heroines will be very happy to know that Lucy is coming back on your TV via a show called Spartacus: Blood and Sand. We’re assuming its going to be a bloody hell of a “period” show set in the desert. Are we geniuses or what?
Anyways, here’s more info on Spartacus from the NZ Herald:
Billed as looking like the film 300 – which was based on a graphic novel – with the nudity of HBO’s Rome, and the violence of Gladiator, Spartacus will have “a death toll like nothing you’ve seen on television before,” producer Steven DeKnight told the audience.
Lawless said the nudity had forced her to hit the gym. “I do have to work out,” she said. “Being naked on-screen is no fun.”
The series has already begun production in New Zealand and is scheduled to go to air on Starz next January. Lawless is playing Lucretia, who along with her husband Batiatus, own the Ludus (a gladiator camp) – as well as Spartacus.
So sure, we don’t know for a fact if Lucy Lawless is a lesbian but if Scarlett Johansson and Sarah Jessica Parker are on the list then our Lucy should also be on the list, right?
