Martin Freeman Shirtless, Underwear, Gay or Straight?. Martin Freeman is a very lucky guy! Why? Because he is about to hit the big time with his lead role as Bilbo Baggins in the much awaited movie adaptations of JRR Tolkien’s sequel to The Lord of the Rings. They’re doing three movies out of the book so expect Martin to be in the Hollywood celebrity radar for the next 5-7 years.
If he is a stock, everyone should be buying shares of this British actor who’s about to become a household name (a-la Daniel Radcliffe, Elijah Wood, and Robert Pattinson) at the ripe old age of 41. Yay for men in their forties!
The movie is still up for release in December but those who saw some clips from the movie say that Martin Freeman is perfect as Bilbo. From io9.com:
Most of it was just as excellent as you’d expect from seeing the Lord of the Rings trilogy — but the new elements, like Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins and the dwarves, were also just mind-blowingly excellent.
In fact, even with all the returning castmembers, Freeman pretty much steals the show, judging from the clips we saw.

Unfortunately, these Martin Freeman shirtless photos are old but they’re better than nothing, right? Someone should convince Martin to pose for Cosmo Magazine’s Everyman Campaign so we will have better, more awesome pics. We’re told that the next two photos below are from a short-lived BBC comedy show, Bruiser.
By the way, for those of you wondering whether he wears boxers or briefs in real life, the answer is that he wears both. We know this, how? Because he said so in an interview with the Daily Mail back in 2007:
I buy my underwear and socks at M&S like every good boy should. Boxers and briefs, all colours. They have some reasonable accessories ? I spotted a tweed cap in there recently.
Apparently, he also loves uniforms but says that he doesn’t have a uniform fetish:
I don?t have a fetish, but I kept the police trousers I wore in Hot Fuzz. I love uniforms. As a boy I craved an Army uniform. I got camouflage kit when I was seven, but lost interest.
