Male Models and Athletes in Under Armour Apparel. Which apparel brand has successfully conquered the world of sports? Answer: Under Armour! Four years ago, when we first blogged about the brand and its sponsorship deal with Georges St. Pierre, we associated it only with MMA (Mixed Martial Arts).
Now, with its countless sponsorships/endorsement deals with sports teams and athletes, the brand is practically everywhere. In baseball for instance, we have Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper, the 2012 Rookie of the year, carrying the banner of the company. Check him out in his Under Armour boxerjock. Impressed?
In the National Football League (NFL), there are several footballers who have an endorsement deal with the company. As we mentioned in an earlier post (NFL Players in Underwear), one of these endorsers is Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton.
Then we have American tennis star Robby Ginepri flying the company’s logo in tennis.
Charlotte Bobcats point guard Kemba Walker does his part in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Like his fellow footballer Cam Newton, Miles Austin of the Dallas Cowboys has an endorsement deal with Under Armour which is why he’s wearing a pair of UA boxers in the pic below.
Footballers Julio Jones (Atlanta Falcons), Stevan Ridley (New England Patriots), Bernard Pierce (Baltimore Ravens), and Randall Cobb (Green Bay Packers) are not included in the wikipedia list of Under Armour endorsements but they did some promo work for the label. Must have been an oversight on the part of wiki editors.
Hey look, despite his tons of endorsement deals, multiple gold medalist Michael Phelps is in on the action too. As if he still needs the money, no? Hehe.
We are not sure if Gloucester Rugby star Mike Tindall (aka Mr. Princess Zara Phillips) if an endorser of the brand but he wore a pair of white Under Armour boxers in a photoshoot for a charity calendar. [Under Armour is missing an opportunity to truly go global if they don’t hire him as an endorser.]
Meanwhile, here are male models/actors who modeled Under Armour underwear. First up is actor/model Nick Denbeigh who shared this photo on his webpage:
Then here’s Survivor One World reality star Jay Byars who modeled Under Armour apparel for International Jock.
