Josh Hamilton Drunk Photos. Baseball’s Texas Ranger Josh Hamilton was photographed drunk and doing some stuff with ladies (none of whom is his wife) and someone uploaded them photos in the internets (aka Deadspin).
What a scandal. Our eyes. Our eyes. Okay, it may not be a scandal of Michael Phelps proportion but it’s a scandal nonetheless. We actually feel sorry for the guy because he’s just doing stuff that a lot of ordinary men do without getting themselves embroiled in a scandal.
But then again, that’s the price you have to pay when you’re famous.
David Aardsma: Baseball Pitcher’s Got Nekkid Ball Photos
20 April 2010
What did baseball player David Aardsma, relief pitcher for the Seattle Mariners, do to get himself in a potentially embarrassing “birthday suit” photo scandal?
Well, he must have taken a photo of himself in the buff (you know, like them Guys With iPhones), and sent it around to who knows how many people.
To whom it may concern:
I have a photo of Seattle Mariners pitcher David Aardsma that may be of interest to your magazine publication. Sent to my phone directly from Mr. Aardsma (camera phone of Mr. Aardsma clearly displayed in the picture itself) showing subject in VERY compromising position (i.e. fully n*de). Considering his marital status and prominent position in the Seattle community, this photo necessitates significant attention. Due to the recent media coverage of Tiger Woods’ similar situation, this topic is rather timely & appropriate in nature.
If you have any interest in acquiring this photo, feel free to contact me through this email address. Thank you for your time. M.S.
Manny Ramirez Drug Scandal – HCG? (posted 08 May 2009). Los Angeles Dodgers slugger Manny Ramirez has been banned 50 games for violating baseball’s policy against performance-enhancing drugs. The MLB did not reveal the drug but in a statement issued through the union, Manny reveals that the substance was given to him by a doctor for a “personal health issue.”
The statement reads: “Unfortunately, the medication was banned under our drug policy. Under [baseball’s] policy that mistake is now my responsibility. I have been advised not to say anything more for now. I do want to say one other thing; I’ve taken and passed about 15 drug tests over the past five seasons. . . . L.A. is a special place to me and I know everybody is disappointed. So am I. I’m sorry about this whole situation.”
Some media sources are reporting that the substance in question is human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) which is used to treat infertility in women, but in some cases also for men.
According to the Washington Post HCG is also frequently used by steroids users to “restart the body’s natural production of testosterone following a “cycle” of steroids. It has been banned by the international bodies of most sports since the 1980s, and was added to baseball’s banned list last year.”
