Who’s the cute guy in the photo above? The cutie, fellow Famewatcher, is Jon Misch. He’s from Waterford, Michigan. He’s 26 years young. He’s a graduate of Michigan State University. He currently works as a financial assistant. He’s a college football star (position: linebacker). And he looks awesome without his shirt.
What a gorgeous guy! He’s already taken though so that’s a bummer for those of you who want him to be your IRL beau. But you can make him your imaginary TV beau because Jon and his girlfriend, Jaclyn Schultz, are competing in the 29th season of Jim Probst’s Survivor. Speaking of Probst, we won’t be surprised if he falls for Jon because the TV host has a hard*n for alpha males. Remember James the Gravedigger and how our Jimmy was openly rooting for him?
Anyhoo, here’s a Michigan Live news report about Jon’s upcoming gig as a Survivor castaway:
Add another name to the list of former Michigan State athletes to make their way into the entertainment business.
Former Michigan State linebacker Jon Misch was announced Wednesday as one of 18 cast members on the 29th season of Survivor, the CBS reality program in which contestants live in remote locations and vote one another off the show.
Misch was a four-year letterwinner for the Spartans from 2007-10, making seven starts at linebacker. As a senior, he had 31 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss.
Here’s Jon leading his football teammates to victory.
More information about our guy from the Jon Misch Survivor bio page on CBS:
Personal Claim to Fame: Winning a big 10 championship at Michigan State University.
Inspiration in Life: My sister, Lara who has worked hard for everything she has and is an incredible role model. She inspires me to work hard and to appreciate things more. Seeing how hard she works to take care of her family reminds me how things aren’t always as easy as we wish they were. She works harder than anyone I know.
Hobbies: Working out, playing piano and researching wine.
Pet Peeves: People with too many pet peeves.
3 Words to Describe You: Outgoing, unpredictable and intuitive.
If You Could Have 3 Things on The Island What Would They Be and Why? 1) Piano – to play and entertain myself and others 2) Football – for entertainment and to make friends 3) Wine – to get drunk – duh!
SURVIVOR Contestant You Are Most Like: Hayden. I feel my personality is a lot like his and he’s also an athlete that uses his head.
Reason for Being on SURVIVOR: The experience and the competition. It’s unique and completely social which would be fun to experience.
Why You Think You’ll “Survive” SURVIVOR: I can build a fire from scratch, debone/gut a fish, catch lizards and lift things up and put them down.
Why You Think You Will Be the Sole SURVIVOR: I have very good social and physical skills. I can read people well and I’m good at telling them what they need to hear.
What Does It Mean to You to Play Survivor with Your Loved One? Playing with Jaclyn is an incredible opportunity. I’ve learned in the past that experiencing adversity with others can build the relationship you have together (if you do it correctly). Since there is no experience like that of Survivor, there’s no telling the amount that can be gained by triumphing through the challenges that present themselves on a daily basis, let alone those found in treemail!
Hmmm, did he mention he plays the piano? He sure does!!!! Here’s a video of Jon playing Chopin and, for a little bit, Mary Had a Little Lamb.
What a talented young man. Here’s another video of our Survivor castaway playing piano during the 2010 Capital One Luncheon Competition. We like this better than the first vid above.
A football jock who plays piano would qualify as a renaissance man, right? Jeff Probst is sooo going to fall in love with this guy!!!
