Igor Radivilov Ukrainian Gymnast is a Hot Olympic Bronze Medalist. Time for another Ukrainian hunk and this time we have Igor Radivilov (wikipedia says his name is Ihor not Igor but maybe it can also be spelled that way). The 19-year-old hunk from Spartak, Donetsk bagged the bronze medal for the men’s vault event in the London 2012 Olympic Games.
He’s got the most perfect of biceps, doesn’t he?
Igor (or Ihor) is the only Ukrainian gymnast to win a medal but the men’s gymnastics team — composed of Ihor Radivilov, Mykola Kuksenkov, Oleg Stepko, Vitalii Nakonechnyi and Oleg Verniaiev — almost won a medal in the team all-around placing fourth in the standings. The team originally placed third but went down to fourth place after the Japanese team successfully contested a mis-scoring on the part of the judges.
Anyhoo, there’s always a next time, right? Who knows, the Ukrainians will improve and beat the rest of the competition in Rio de Janeiro 2016.
Here’s Igor on the medal stand with fellow medalists Yang Hak-Seon of South Korea who won the gold and Denis Ablyazin of Russia who settled for the silver.
The Ukrainian men’s gymnastics team. Who’s the guy on the left who’s as excited as American rower, Henrik Rummel. Hehehe.
By the way, we have to mention that aside from his Olympic bronze medal, Igor also boasts of a silver medal from the 2012 Montpellier European Championships (also from men’s vault). For his part, Oleh Vernyayev has a silver medal from the same 2012 European Championships (for the parallel bars) while Mykola Kuksenkov has a bronze medal from the 2011 Berlin European Championships (for the men’s all-around). Clearly, they are a talented and world-class team.
Didn’t we mention that gymnastics are one of the better sports to watch in the Olympics? Turns out that our favorite redhead and his Future King brother agree with us. Check out these two random guys (to use the words of The Guardian) as they check out the Olympic gymnasts. Hehe.
Finally, here’s Igor Radivilov kicking ass.
