Brangelina Humanitarian Work: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Projects

Brangelina Humanitarian Work: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Projects. Let’s take a break from those silly money laundering rabbis and cute but corrupt politicians of New Jersey to talk about something positive for a change. And by something positive, we mean Angelina Jolie visiting Baghdad, Iraq to look at the human refugee situation in that country pulverized by George “The Stupid” Bush.

So what’s the refugee situation in Iraq like? According to the AP quoting a UNHCR official quoting Angie, this is what it’s like: “This is a moment where things seem to be improving on the ground, but Iraqis need a lot of support and help to rebuild their lives.”

Hey, Angie, that boy looks totally smitten by you.

Brangelina Charity for Iraqi Kids

28 June 2008

This is one of the reasons why we here at Famewatcher love us our Brangelina:

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s love for children is by no means limited to their own: The couple has donated $1 million to help kids affected by the war in Iraq, the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict announced Wednesday.

The organization will distribute the donation, made through the couple’s Jolie-Pitt Foundation, to four organizations working on behalf of children who have lost parents, homes and schools in Iraq. Children in the U.S. who have lost parents in the conflict will also benefit.

Go Brad and Angelina! Angelina is a good influence on Brad, no? Or has he been into this humanitarian thing even before Angie came along?

Brad Pitt is Hotter than Hot
18 September 2008

It is an established fact in the whole wide universe (hehe) that Brad Pitt is a cutie daddy but his cuteness score went up the stratosphere (or whatever is higher than the stratosphere) when he donated money to fight those ridiculous who are trying to ban gay marriage in California. My gay friends in Cali who are Brad fans will be happy with this donation.

Angelina Jolie is really a positive influence to Brad Pitt, no? From a party boy, he suddenly became some kind of philanthropist. No wonder he’s became hotter than hot. Good luck to your New Orleans projects, cutie daddy.

Good to see a celebrity doing something great for other people. Thanks, Brad Pitt.

The Huffington Post has an update on the work of Brad Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation: “Determined to put his dual passions for architecture and environmentally-sound development to work, he and several partners started the Make It Right Foundation, whose aim is to build 150 homes for residents of the lower Ninth Ward – one of the hardest hit during the ’05 hurricane. He invited architects from around the globe to New Orleans to submit sustainable – and affordable housing solutions.”

The report adds: “Pitt convened a meeting with the architects, residents and community leaders to establish guidelines for rebuilding the neighborhood. ‘I never had any idea that so many people would show up for this. The model works and it’s replicable’.”

Brangelina to Adopt Baby From Burma?
09 February 2009

Oh my. Our Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly planning to adopt a kid from Burma/Myanmar. Are they overdoing this adoption thingie? But then again, a life with Brangelina and the other kids will be much better than a life in refugee camps, no?

The Daily Mail quotes a source after Angie visited Chang Mai in Thailand: “The plight of the refugees from Burma really affected Angelina. She can’t stand to see the suffering of these people, especially the children. She spent most of last week at a refugee centre, Ban Mai Nai Soi, along the Thai-Burmese border and met with one woman who has spent more than 20 years in the refugee camp.”

The source adds: “Angelina said she was saddened to learn the woman, who was born in the refugee camp, has never been out of it, and is now raising her own child there. She decided then that her next adoption should be from Burma. She thinks if she can save even one child it is better than doing nothing. She knew she wouldn’t be able to take a baby home with her this time, but she was very keen to get the ball rolling.”

The Daily Mail is not exactly reliable when it comes to celebrity news (or any other kind of news for that matter) so just include this in your rumor until proven file.
