Black Wedding Dress: Celebrity Brides and Vera Wang Designs. When we first saw Vera Wang’s black wedding dresses from her Fall/Winter Bridal collection we were like, “Ehhh. Do you really think some bride will be brave enough or non-superstitious enough to wear a black dress to her wedding?”

Turns out that there are some brides who are brave/non-superstitious enough to do so. One of them is 90210 star Shenae Grimes who wore this Vera Wang dress to her recent wedding to British model Josh Beech.

It’s hard to appreciate the dress from the wedding photo above, so here’s the dress on a model.

Interestingly, unlike us who are admittedly kinda superstitious when it comes to wedding colors, the internetizens’ reaction to Shenae’s dress is mostly positive and supportive.

Anyhoo, here are some of Vera Wang’s black wedding dresses for those of you who are planning to wear one on your wedding day. We’re told they cost around £3,200. First up is the Janice wedding dress.

Aside from Shenae Grimes, are there other celebrities who wore a black gown to her wedding? Apparently, the fashion queen herself, Sarah Jessica Parker, wore one during her wedding to Matthew Broderick. Check it out.

For some reason, she now regrets the decision. From Harper’s Bazaar: “If she were to renew her wedding vows with Broderick, Sarah Jessica, who famously wore black on her wedding day, would choose white. “I’m not kidding. White it up. I’d wear a beautiful, proper wedding dress, like I should have worn on the day. James Wilkie’s teacher is getting married, and he said, ‘Do you think she will be wearing black?’ I said, ‘No! I can almost assure you.’ Then he said, ‘Do you still regret it?’ and I said, ‘Yes, I still regret it.’”

We hope the writer who interviewed Jessica did a follow-up question and asked why Jessica regrets her decision but, unfortunately, the writer did not so we don’t know why our Jessica is regretful.
