What’s a former tomboy doing on Canada’s Next Top Model? Tying to win it all, that’s what, despite the fact that she’s the amateur of the bunch of Top Model wannabes.
Anyways, fellow Famewatchers, meet Winnipeg’s Meaghan DeWarreng-Waller. From her CNTM page:
Age: 19
Height: 5’9.5”
Hometown: Winnipeg, MB
Occupation: RetailGrowing up as a tall, lanky tomboy, Meaghan didn’t think modeling was a possibility for her until a couple of years ago when people started telling her she should consider it. But it wasn’t until she made it through the first round of the CNTM auditions did she actually believe it.
With no previous modeling experience, Meaghan set up a runway of sorts in her basement to practice. “I could not walk in heels to save my life,” admits Meaghan. “I set up a mirror at one end and a mirror at the other and walked back and forth until I got my walk down.”Currently working at a retail boutique, Meaghan is also studying architecture at the University of Manitoba.
She thinks her lack of experience is actually what would make her a great Canada’s Next Top Model.
“I’m totally green, totally fresh and I think that’s what Canada’s Next Top Model should be. Somebody that has come here, without experience and built to the top … I know I will absorb and learn and as soon as you tell me I’m not going to be able to do something I will prove you wrong.”
We gotta say that we think her eyes are her greatest asset. So amazing.
