Is Paolo Bediones Gay?

Is Paolo Bediones gay? He is according to Brian Gorrell who even named a certain Philip Abadicio as Paolo’s ex-boyfriend. If true, I wonder how Paolo’s avid fans will react to the information.

In fairness to Paolo, he addressed the issue regarding his sexuality years ago. From a Manila Bulletin article in 2005:

Being a very private person, Paulo would not volunteer any information about his personal life if he doesn’t see its importance in an interview. Maybe that is why a lot of people can’t help but be curious about so many things in his life.

So far, his sexual preference has been questioned since he keeps mum on who is he seeing. Instead of being irked, Paolo decided to just let everyone have the freedom to talk about it. And, eventually the issue died a natural death.

“I really think sexuality is an issue that we should just let go of. I have been suspected as a gay many times before. What they don’t know is that I’m just very discreet. Some women like a man who is discreet while some girls mistake that for being not too proud of them.”

“If it’s not your sexuality they question, it’s who you’re going out with. The number one question is always, how’s your love life? I would really love to hear somebody answer, “Anong pakialam mo?” One of the reasons why I agreed to do S Files was the opportunity to change the face of local showbiz and how its members are perceived by the common folks,” expresses Paolo.

Hmm. A simple yes or no would have sufficed, Paolo. All that addendum only fans the flames. Just saying.
