Huh, don’t look now but it seems like the much-hated Wendy Valdez of Pinoy Big Brother will have the last laugh because she is getting projects left, right, and center. Biro ninyo, according to PEP, Wendy is getting the title role in ABS-CBN’s new teleserye, Margarita.
The new soap is patterned after Vilma Santos’ Burlesk Queen but those randy teenagers who are hoping to see a naked Wendy Valdez dancing on their TV screens will be disappointed. MTRCB will definitely not allow it because Margarita will be a prime time show.

Forget about the stupid and often scandalous Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), the MMFF will not save the Filipino film industry. What may save the industry would be the independent producers who often come up with artistic and creative works which often gets recognized outside the country.
It’s good that Cinemalaya has this independent film festival which provides a venue where indie producers can screen their films. In case you don’t know yet, the 2007 Cinemalaya Film Festival is currently ongoing (July 20-29, 2007) at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
TV Monitor: Boys Next Door

Do you, by any chance watch GMA-7’s youth-oriented show, Boys Next Door? We think GMA actually spells it Boys Nxt Door without the E which is kind of silly.
We know of course that they are targetting the young fans who are so used to text messaging but really, the reason why we all have these interesting spelling in text messages is because of the limited number of letters/characters allowed in a message. So there’s really no excuse for GMA to spell Nxt without an E.
